Instructed Adult Art Classes
After sharing my passion for art through teaching at various venues and schools over the past decade, I am thrilled to extend a warm invitation to students to join me at my private studio nestled in the picturesque mountains of Topanga, California. Here, you can immerse yourself in the world of art through both group and private classes, covering the fundamentals of oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media painting. All materials are provided for your convenience.
Classes are scheduled from Monday to Friday, with sessions running from 10 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm, as well as on Saturdays from 11 am to 1 pm. To secure your spot, reservations must be made in advance. Throughout the classes, students will delve into techniques such as washes, glazing, dry-brush, wet-on-dry and wet-in-wet painting, exploring various painting mediums, color mixing, composition, and the use of a full value range to add depth and drama to their artwork.
The introductory class is priced at $38 per session, with a total of $228 for a 6-week workshop. Designed for beginners and those looking to enhance their skills, students progress at their own pace while working on a variety of pieces. Each two-hour class focuses on a different skill-building technique, using still life, floral, seascape, and landscape setups as practical examples.
Students' art has been proudly displayed at the Topanga Library, showcasing their growth and creativity. Please keep in mind that all classes require advance reservation and are subject to availability. Individual class sessions may be canceled if enrollment numbers are insufficient.
